One Sunny Day Now Available on All Major Streaming Platforms

Or is it?

Glastonbury, Conn. | July 14, 2025 – ‘Twas the morning of Mad Pride Day when all through the apartment, nothing was happening because of a sad little artist… since all he could think about was the fact that his new EP One Sunny Day would not be released today. In the absence of a memory of anything beyond the first two lines of a prehistoric parochial poem, there is not much to report about an album that’s not actually available.

As any self-respecting journalist would do in such a situation, this reporter will leave it to One Sunny Day’s heart and soul, Jim Flannery, to fill in the blanks:

So, since the album was submitted with a July 14 release date to coincide with Mad Pride Day and hasn’t been pushed to streaming services yet, it’s not going to go live everywhere on any particular day, which means there is no triumphant release. It’s just going to dribble out over the coming weeks like a ruined orgasm, I guess? I don’t know what to tell you. I mean, it’s my fault. The album was done and we could have planned out an elaborate release and I wanted to have it come out on Mad Pride Day, so I fucked up. It’s a lesson in humility for a stubborn artist who insists on overriding reason. And ‘fuck you’ to anyone for calling it mental illness.

Maybe instead of moping around on Mad Pride Day (of all days!), our sad clown could have at least given a shout out to Rick Puglielli for all his work on the instrumentals and engineering. Or expressed some gratitude that Rick is one of the only people who hasn’t written him off as being mentally ill and still chooses to work with him.

Perhaps someone just needs a hug… or to just listen to One Sunny Day in its entirety to experience the joyful conclusion of the final track “You Should Dance”. If only it were available to listen to at this moment.
