Motion to Stay Requested in Flannery v. State of Connecticut
Psychiatric Survivors Around the World Now Await Judge’s Decision
Hartford, Conn. | May 27, 2025 – Nothing happened today in the contentious human rights battle between former U.S. Presidential Candidate James Flannery and his home state of Connecticut, at least that’s the story according to the Plaintiff.
“There’s nothing to write about. It’s just a piece of paper asking permission from the Court to put the case on hold until I get a release from the [Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities],” shared Flannery… but certainly there must be more we can get out of this egotistical and maniacal p’rick about why he didn’t just argue the State’s Motion to Dismiss and is bending his knee to the State instead. Oh, of course, now he has something to say:
I’m in it to win, ok? No matter how long it takes. Even if I have to take a beating to get there. Or, sure, “bend my knee”? Is that what you want to call it? And an apostrophe in the word “p’rick”? Really? Don’t you think you’re giving away a little too much with that?
We’re all just calling it like we see it and right now all this reporter can see is a Plaintiff on the defensive. Looks like he wants to elaborate: “Please don’t end it with that. Can you at least offer the hope of victory by mentioning Muhammad Ali playing ‘rope-a-dope’ or something?”
That would certainly be nice, but quite possibly impossible given that I might have just pricked my lucky finger on an eternal asparagus. C’est la vie!
