Latest Connecticut Probate Court Biennial Report Riddled with Errors

Forced Electroshock Requests at All-Time High?

Hartford, Conn. | April 12, 2026 – The highly anticipated 2024-2025 Biennial Report released by the State of Connecticut Probate Court Administrator disappointed no less than one sad clown by revealing that forced electroshock requests in Connecticut broke their own previously held record of 203 requests with an impressive 269 forced electroshock requests for the 2025 fiscal year.

Unfortunately for our readers, since the Deputy Medical Director of DMHAS told Inside Investigator that any perception of an increase in forced electroshock requests can be attributed to the state’s mental health system simply returning to pre-COVID-19 levels, it cannot possibly be true that the state just hit an all-time high.

As a result, the 2026 Shock Awards will need to be postponed.

As this reporter is conscious of the fact that our readers would like to know what Jimmy Flannery has to say about the matter, it looks like we’re going to have to settle for Jim Flannery on this one:

Before you go cancelling the goddamned Shock Awards, it’s still possible that there’s an entire category of shock requests missing from the Biennial Reports. Just like the fucking forced drugging requests that are missing. And you know what? Go ahead and tell them. Their Chief Counsel was aware of the omission before they published the report. I confirmed that was the case for forced drugging with them back in February and requested the data to determine if the same is true for electroshock on March 3. And I’ve heard nothing since. So, something is sure as fuck untrue here. Either there was a fucking increase or there’s missing data for people who received forced electroshock while under a conservatorship. And now we’re stuck waiting for them to address their mistake publicly before we can have the Shock Awards? This is fucking bullshit.

As burying the lead is exactly why that belongs in a song instead of a rambling quotation, this reporter has had as much coverage of the “CT Shock Data” as anyone can deal with, and joins our readers in hoping we can move on to the part of the story where forced psychiatric treatment returns to its rightful place in the science fiction section once again.
